• Parking: free private parking on site — no reservation needed.
• Wi-Fi: free throughout the house.
• Non-smoking throughout · no pets · children older than 5 are welcome.
• Quiet hours: 23:00 – 07:00. Parties/events are not permitted.
• Payment: American Express, Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Maestro and UnionPay accepted. Cash is not accepted.
• Included in your apartment: bed linen, luxury bathrobes, towels and slippers; Nespresso machine; kitchenette with kitchenware; TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime & satellite; iron & ironing board; hairdryer; board games and books.
• Outdoors: sunny terrace, garden pavilion and chimney BBQ — please leave everything as you found it for the next guests.

Getting to Hallstatt (approx. 6 km)

Salzkammergut Shuttle — easiest

The shuttle collects you at the "#67 Reith/Spielplatz" bus stop, just a few steps from our house — about €6 per adult. Details: salzkammergutshuttle.at

By bike or on foot

Rent a bike in the village (we recommend 'Rent a Bike', +43 6131 605) — around 30 minutes to Hallstatt. The scenic lakeside walk takes about 1 hour.

By train & ferry

The Obertraun Koppenbrüllerhöhle station (May–Nov) is a pretty 15-minute walk away; more frequent trains run from Obertraun Dachsteinhöhlen (2 km). From Hallstatt station, the ferry crosses the lake to the village. Details: oebb.at

By boat

A traditional wooden boat runs hourly (09:00–19:00) from Obertraun Seecafé (2.5 km) — about €10 one-way / €16 return: navia.at

Driving & parking in Hallstatt

Hallstatt's centre is traffic-free in the daytime; use the signed car parks P1, P2 or P3 (electronic displays show free spaces). Rates: first 15 min free, up to 1 hr €4.50, up to 2 hrs €8, 3–4 hrs €9.50, 5–6 hrs €10, 7–12 hrs €12, daily €18. Machines take coins, notes and Mastercard/Visa/Maestro.

Luggage storage in Hallstatt

Visiting before check-in? Leave luggage at the Hallstatt Luggage Depot (Seestraße 114 — suitcase €5, hand luggage €3) or in lockers at the Salzwelten Visitor Center (Salzbergstraße 21, 09:00–17:00, to 18:30 Apr–Sep).

Winter: Skiing

• Ski bus: free — included with your tourist tax and ski pass (stops near the train station, ~20 min walk).

• Cross-country: 14 km of trails (95% flat) start almost from our front door, through the Koppenwinkel nature reserve.

Summer: Lake & Mountains

• Lake Hallstatt bathing beach, boat hire and the Koppenwinkel nature reserve are a short walk away (~2 km).
• Dachstein Caves & Giant Ice Cave, the 5 Fingers viewing platform, and Hiking World Krippenstein are all nearby.
