The next
train station to our house is "Obertraun Koppenbrüllerhöhle" (Only
April to November) which is a pretty 1km walk which only takes 15 minutes.
More frequent trains and busses go to the "Obertraun Dachsteinhöhlen"
train station which is a 2km walk from our house. More details here: www.oebb.at/en/
TIP! If you plan to travel to "Obertraun Koppenbrüllerhöhle" please be aware that the train does not stop there long, so be ready to get off the train as soon as it stops at the station. Ideally, start getting ready to embark, as soon as the train leaves the station before.
If you prefer not to walk, then we suggest arranging for the Salzkammergut Shuttle (Route730) to meet you at either station and drop you at the bus stop ‘#67 Reith/Spielplatz’ which is directly at the end of our road and just a few steps away. The price is only €3,50 per person.
The easiest way to book is via the TAXI SPOT app. This can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store and Google Play. In addition, desired journeys can also be requested by telephone from Monday to Sunday from 06:00 to 21:00 on +43 05 422 422. PRE-BOOKING at least 1 hour in advance with caller ID. The call must be made with active caller ID - in order to be called back if necessary.
